MIND THE USE OF THESE THREE WORDS
There are words in English language that sound same but are not spelt same and have different meaning. Most times, people use these words for another, making their write up not good enough. It can totally change the meaning of their sentence or make it meaningless.
Here, we will look at these three words, there, their and they're, one after the other.
1. There: This word is an adverb that showed that something is in existence or happening. It is used to show that something is available. It also refer to a specific place.
Examples,
i. There is a book on the table
ii. There are supermarkets in this town
iii. I am going there.
When you referring to an existence of something or a specific place, use there.
2. Their: This word is a pronoun(can be user as determiner) that is used to show that something belong to more that one person. It is the possessive form of they.
Examples,
i. Their house is nearby
ii. The book is theirs
3. They're: This is not a whole word. It is the contracted form of, they are. They is a pronoun, are is a verb. Both word are plural words used when you refer or have more than a person.
I. They are dancing
They're dancing.
