OPEN LETTER TO THE GENERAL OVERSEERS OF CHURCHES OF CHRIST IN NIGERIA

May the LORD renew your strength men of God. Hope the sheep are grassing gracefully. I write to you on some issue obviously neglects over the years and it giving room to the intimidators to come in. We must not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy and the vessels he can use.
    Fathers in the Lord, one major issue I write to you about in this letter about the church, is the division. Oh no, it is alarming. All churches ordaining by GOD, bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, founded by the Holy Ghost should be one. One, I mean one, not one and half, a whole one. How come the church in this nation is this divided. It is so divided that some denominations, do not go to other denomination, even relating with the member of those denominations is like committing sin. They called the other, a worldly church, church of sinners. I have witness an instance where there was a wedding ceremony in one denomination, saints from the  other denomination could not come into that assembly, because they regard them as sinners, a worldly church, so they went ahead to meet the one who had invited them on the reception ground. Isn't that terrible. That just the one known here, what about many more I did not know.
    This division is found in modern day Christianity, the early Christians dwell in one heart, in one soul, in one accord, in one spirit. Why can't we? Though different callings at different time, different names and denomination but SAME spirit, the spirit of Christ. If we dwell in one spirit, how come we do as if we know not who we serve. All Christians serve the Almighty God thorough Christ Jesus, the hope of our glory.
My plead with you here fathers,  is to work on the unity of the church, it begins with you. Show us Christ is one by working together first. You must have heard about how your members separate themselves from other saints in condemnation. If you have not heard, find out. Some of your sheep are not doing what you thought them, they are tearing the one body apart. It is time to do something about it or else you do not believe in Christ as one. Seat with one another and solve things out. Different doctrines same spirit, different gifts same spirit. You cannot watch the church in this separation and thing the next place is heaven. What if God say, you have not put things in order, what will you say? They that know good things and do not do it, are sinners. How good is it for brethren to dwell in unity. If  we are not united here on earth which heaven do we seek, for in heaven they are one.
   The other issue is the need for our unity now. Because we have been like walnut, never together, many things had always been coming on us and going scot free because we are not one, every one minding his or her ministry running the race of the kingdom alone or at most with some few. What a journey? The race of the kingdom is individualist yet saints need not do as if others matter not. Jesus based His judgement for the kingdom of heaven on what you do to your neighbour. It is time to come together as one and with violence in the spirit crush all thing militating against the christian religion in this nation. They are doing this to us because we are never together, so they have a place to stay. Pastors countering pastors on the T.V, different prophecies same 'spirit' on sane issue, how, why won't others who know not the power of God say or do just any thing. Elijah is one like one of you fathers and he control his nation, Samuel is another man. Look at the power in your unity if you will come together and raze the gate of hell daring the move against the church in this nation. The nation will stand still. Many things had gone wrong in this nation is recent that the coming together of the church can quench the fire of it. Please your coming together now is needed more than ever, don't forget to tell your sheep to follow same step of unity. Cry against it, war against it, do all you can to bring the church to be indeed a church in Christ not churches in your belief.

May He preserve your unity and give your children the grace to tolerate one another.  May He give your leaders at all levels the wisdom to lead well.
