A DAUGHTER, A SON IS BORN TWICE.
This came to my mind and it has it press on me.
'A child is born twice, a child is born twice' Igba meji lan bi mo. This simply means, aside the first travail, there is another travail, to bring forth a child indeed, that we will all joy over.
The first travail is after nine months. Nine period of all changes in the body system moulding a new life in there. At the right time, the child comes out in pain of the mother. This is not fun, the pain bring unease shout.
The second travail is making sure that, the child is something meaningful in life. Giving birth to a child is not enough, moulding a child to greatness is the beauty of having one.
Mothers, fathers, travail to make your children your future pride. Travail here, simply means, give it all it takes.
Not all children are the same. Some, you labour less over them, they seems to know the right things and do them. Others take hard labour, in rebuking, petting, care, some times hot arguments, praying, doing all you think, will help shape him or her positively. Give it all it takes, do not give up on any child. A child left to itself, is a child miss form, and it bring sorrow at the end. No child is without a good life, taking responsibility over them is what brings the best of them.
I tell you, there are so many things willing to distract your children from ascending meaning in life, be it any class. You must stand your ground, never to allow it happen. If it is already happening, snatch your child away from it.
Except there is a travail, there cannot be birth. Except there is second travail, a child might not bring future joy. There is a joy at birth, there is another, at the success of a meaningful child.
Note here, your travail may not be necesary sweating hard in struggle and labour, it might be in firmness that your child must not miss it, even if the child has access to luxuries.
And if the struggle and sweat drops is involve, give it, you will prevail and you will have the second joy. No labour over one's child is lust.
May God preserve them to us!
